What are the Republicans doing

Dear Supporter,

With Americans clamoring for reforms that help create new jobs - not more government - Speaker Pelosi is determined to ram a 2,000+ page government takeover of health care through Congress "one way or another."

We can stop it. But I need your help.

Last week during his State of the Union address, President Obama called on Congress for anyone who has a better health care plan than his to raise their hand.

I raised my hand.

You may not know it, but Republicans have a common-sense bill to help lower health care premiums, cut the deficit, and expand coverage without putting Washington in charge.

The Republican bill won't raise taxes or add to the debt. We make it easier for small businesses to keep and hire new workers. And we shut the door to a government takeover.

Our goal is to drive down health care costs for all Americans. For example, our bill: Ends the junk lawsuits that drive up costs with real medical liability reform; Allows small businesses to pool together and purchase affordable coverage the same way large corporations and labor unions do; Allows Americans to buy insurance that best suits them across state lines; Promotes saving for long-term needs by bolstering free market Health Savings Accounts (HSAs); and more. Our bill also prohibits taxpayer funding for abortion, expands coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, and lets employers reward workers who lead healthy lifestyles.

That's why I hope you'll follow this link right away and make a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more. Any amount you can give will help me get the word out that Republicans have a real plan to lower health care costs and help create new jobs.

Democrats don't want health care reform; they want government-run health care. They don't fix the system; they make it more expensive. That's why I'm reaching out to you.

Can I count on you to follow this link and make an immediate contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more? Your contribution will go a long way towards helping me stop the Democrats' bill and force them to start over with a real free market approach focused on reducing costs, not growing government.

Thank you in advance for your support!

P.S., I'm not only working to scrap the Democrats' government takeover of health care - I'm fighting for real reforms that will lower health care costs for everyone and help create new jobs. Will you follow this link right away and make your most generous contribution to help us keep up the fight and make more Americans aware of our reforms? Thank you again!
